• Respondents
  In a Music-Tec test, respondents are recruited totally at random over the entire metro area by first rate national research facilities.
  
  
• Convenience of Participation
  Carefully pre-qualified respondents are invited to participate in a music test in the comfort of their homes whenever it is convenient for them. This eliminates concerns about factors such as weather, traffic, transportation, child-care and even crime, which plague auditorium tests.
  
  
• Taking the Test
  Each participant receives a toll-free phone number and a PIN to enter into the system to take the test, all of which is no more effort than calling a friend over the phone. Votes are registered at the participant's own individual speed…the program only moves to the next song after a vote has been registered by the respondent on their touch-tone pad. If the respondent wants to hear a hook a second time, they simply push a button and it replays.
  


• Convenience
  Most respondents take the test in 3 to 5 sittings of about 20 to 30 minutes each. They can, and are repeatedly encouraged to, just hang up if they start to get at all fatigued or if they get interrupted. When they call into the system again, the test picks up right where they left off and every score is perfectly recorded in digital lock step with the test order. In a Music-Tec test, the digital technology prohibits skipped or faulty responses, so scores are 100% complete and correct.
  
  
• Verification
  A two-stage verification process takes place after all qualified respondents have completed the test. The first stage checks respondents' adherence to the screener specifications and the second uses voice sampling to guarantee respondent integrity throughout the entire test.
  
  
• Delivery
  As soon as the verified sample data is ready, it is data-processed and sent to the station using Microsoft Excel in a ready-to-sort formatted file for easy and comprehensive sorting.
